Bobby Lynch Releases New Single "Green Grass Grows" June 26

Produced by Jeff Kazee and featuring the Asbury Jukes horns, the single marks the first release in a series of new music from the Jersey Shore

ASBURY PARK, NJ — Jersey Shore singer, songwriter, and keyboard player Bobby Lynch will release his latest single, "Green Grass Grows," on June 26 across all streaming platforms. The track is available now for presave on Spotify and Apple Music.

The release marks the culmination of a journey that began more than two years ago, when Lynch reached out to longtime friend and collaborator Jeff Kazee of Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes to begin recording a collection of songs Lynch had been developing for years. Kazee produced the single, plays piano and organ, and contributes background vocals. The song was written by Lynch with Kazee and longtime friend Doug Kistner.

"I knew Jeff would understand me and my sound," says Lynch. "I have spent years studying his parts and everything he has done with Southside. To flip the coin and have him help me find the sound inside myself has been a once in a lifetime experience. It has been phenomenal."

Lynch is a fixture of the Jersey Shore music scene, with decades of live performance in the blues, soul, and rock and roll tradition the region is known for. He has shared stages with some of the biggest names in music and performed alongside Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes, filling in on keyboards for Kazee over the years and becoming part of that extended musical family. "Green Grass Grows" carries that family right into the studio, with a powerful, raw, bluesy, in your face sound built alongside his longtime friends and bandmates from the Jukes and some of the finest musicians in the tristate area.

The recording features Oz Noy on guitar, Josh Dion on drums, and John Conte on bass, alongside the legendary Asbury Jukes horns: Chris Anderson on trumpet, John Isley on saxophone, and Neal Pawley on trombone, with horn arrangements by Anderson. Background vocals come from Molly Dorsman, Liza Beaty, and Joie Giordano, with Francis Valentino adding tambourine and additional percussion and Lynch on lead vocals.

"Green Grass Grows" was recorded at Lake House Studios in Asbury Park, with Nick Semanchik engineering, and at Bob Stander's Parcheesi Studios in Long Island, where the track was also mixed. It was mastered at Lake House Masters.

A music video for "Green Grass Grows" will follow shortly after the release, with additional singles and live dates to be announced in the coming months.

Presave "Green Grass Grows" now on Spotify and Apple Music.
